In the year 2087, in a futuristic Africa transformed by extreme environmental laws, Vinjeru Mkandawire is an ordinary student at Kachere Underwater University, hidden beneath the surface of Lake Malawi. His life changes forever when a forbidden family secret forces him and his bold classmate, Sphiwe, to defy the Green Authorities, the enforcers of a rigid eco-dystopian society.
When they illegally bury his grandfather instead of surrendering his body for recycling, Vinjeru and Sphiwe become fugitives. Hunted by genetically engineered hybrids, including the mysterious and dangerous agent Benca Syx, they are thrust into the heart of a teen rebellion in a dystopia where freedom and tradition clash with authoritarian control.
Their journey takes them from the eco-controlled cities of New Blantyre to the Off-Grid Outlands, uncovering the secrets behind the Green Authorities’ oppressive regime. As Vinjeru wrestles with betrayal, self-discovery, and the truth about his own life, he must decide whether to fight for a future where humanity can thrive—or accept the harsh order imposed by the authorities.

"Even a man burdened by the weight of his sins can hope for redemption - but will he find it before time runs out?"
Imprisoned in a wretched dungeon for his unforgivable crimes, Montague knows that death is near. His past haunts him—the children his machines once harmed, the master he once served, the daughter he has never truly known. But before his final breath, he has one last chance to build something that could bring freedom where once there was only suffering.
With failing lungs, trembling hands, and the ever-present threat of brutal guards, Montague races against time to complete his final invention. His body is broken, his soul tormented, but through sweat, blood, and whispered prayers, he works—for redemption, for justice, and for her.
A gripping tale of sacrifice, ingenuity, and faith, Montague’s Last is a story of a man seeking to rewrite his legacy. Will his creation be his salvation, or will the sins of his past consume him before he can atone?
